New standards in third-party system integration, automation and data quality assurance

Weilerbach, April 14, 2026 - The Proalpha Group, one of the leading providers of ERP and business applications for SMEs, is expanding its technology portfolio by introducing the Proalpha Integration Platform powered by n8n. The new platform allows companies to integrate their system landscape in a powerful, flexible and future-proof way. At the core of the solution is n8n, a well-established technology for the integration of technical ecosystems.

The Proalpha Integration Platform enables companies to seamlessly connect applications, data sources, and services, and automate business processes across systems. With n8n, users benefit from a wide range of prebuilt connectors, graphical workflow modeling and a high flexibility – without the need for cumbersome custom development.

n8n is a powerful automation platform that helps companies intelligently connect and scale their heterogeneous IT landscapes. The intuitive visual interface makes it easy to build automated data flows between applications – from simple processes to complex integrations. n8n offers maximum flexibility, full data control and true independence, whether in the cloud or on-premises. This makes automation a true strategic advantage.

Efficient integration through a future-proof platform

In many ERP projects, integrations with third-party systems have proven to be both costly and complex. This new partnership strategically enhances the Proalpha portfolio: while no external middleware is required for product integrations within the Proalpha Group, the Proalpha Integration Platform significantly shortens project timelines when it comes to connecting software products outside the Proalpha portfolio. Proalpha chose n8n for its technological maturity, high flexibility in both cloud and on-premises deployments as well as its strong customer base.

„Modern ERP systems like Proalpha are built on open system architectures. This means they can be easily integrated with other software solutions, allowing companies to shape their IT landscapes according to their specific needs,” says Björn Goerke, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the Proalpha Group. "Through our partnership with n8n, we now offer a modular, plug-and-play approach: companies can purposefully improve their processes by easily combining different software tools and existing systems. This enables companies to design powerful, end-to-end solutions tailored to their specific needs.”

„Small and mid-sized companies face complex integration requirements for their IT systems: legacy systems, widely distributed system landscapes and the pressure to act quickly. Our partnership with Proalpha provides mid-size companies with a powerful and flexible solution to seamlessly connect their systems and unlock the full automation potential without losing control of their data”, comments Jan Oberhauser, founder and CEO of n8n, on the strategic partnership.

    Future-ready technology replaces existing middleware

With this strategic move, Proalpha is responding to the growing demand for flexible integration solutions. Existing middleware components will be gradually phased out. Customers benefit from a modernized system landscape: going forward, Proalpha will rely on an API-centric reference architecture and REST interfaces.

With this partnership, Proalpha also takes over the support for the integration solution. The Proalpha Integration Platform will be available to customers either on-premises or in the cloud.

„Companies will need to evolve at an even faster pace in the future to remain competitive. If agility becomes the new currency, rigid structures that slow down innovation will inevitably reach their limits – even for medium-sized companies."

    Migration offers and outlook

Existing ERP adapters for common third-party providers (such as AEB) will gradually be replaced with API-based solutions. A comprehensive migration offering for existing interfaces is currently in development. More details on possible migration services will follow shortly.
