    Elma Schmidbauer GmbH, headquartered in Singen, was founded in 1948 by watchmaker Hans Schmidbauer and is now one of the world’s leading manufacturers of cleaning systems. In addition to developing and manufacturing ultrasonic and steam cleaning equipment, Elma also produces the corresponding cleaning chemicals in-house. Since 2018, the family-owned company has been managing the combination of mass production, custom-made variants, and complex plant engineering using the integrated ERP solution Proalpha.

    What was the initial situation?

    The old ERP system was highly customized and no longer fit for the future. Upgrading to a new release was virtually impossible because the system had reached a technical dead end. Some processes were manual and not fully digitized.

    Why the decision for Proalpha?

    Proalpha was able to map the complex requirements of all three business areas within a single system. The integrated functions - such as project management, product configuration, and DMS - were particularly impressive. The solution promised a significant increase in efficiency and future-proofing.
