BMK, headquartered in Augsburg, is one of the top ten companies in Germany. But
internationally, the company also plays in the premier league for electronic
Manufacturing Services (EMS). Founded in 1994, the manufacturing service provider
for electronic components with around 1,800 employees is a medium-sized company par excellence: flexible, customer-oriented, fast-growing. And very
successful. For almost three decades, BMK has achieved average annual growth rates
annual growth rates of over 10 percent for almost three decades. We come across electronic assemblies and services manufactured by BMK almost everywhere
- for example in train control systems, snow cannons or the electronic control systems of supermarkets. Since 2004, BMK has been successfully organizing and

"Stable manufacturing processes require forward-looking component management, intelligent demand planning and constant data exchange with suppliers. The key to everything is the Industry Component Electronics & Hightech in Proalpha ERP."
Thomas Lechner
Head of Software Development and Process Optimization, BMK Group
The BMK Group was faced with the challenge of mastering its complex component management and supply chain requirements. The procurement and management of electronic components, which often have shorter product lifecycles than the customers' end products, was particularly demanding. It was also necessary to ensure that the right components were in the right place at the right time so as not to disrupt production. Finally, it was important to support data-driven services and increase transparency and efficiency in the supply chain.
BMK chose Proalpha because of the close cooperation and intensive exchange in the development of industry-specific solutions. The openness to BMK's requirements was a decisive factor. Proalpha offered the opportunity to jointly implement functions such as the scheduling framework order. This enabled BMK to incorporate its individual requirements directly into the ERP solution.
The success of the project at the BMK Group can be measured by the increased transparency in the supply chain and the increased efficiency of operational processes. Customer satisfaction and cost efficiency are also key success factors.
