Hawo GmbH is headquartered in Heppenheim and was founded in 1977. It now operates 13 branches in the states of Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz and Baden-Württemberg. As a wholesaler of paints, varnishes, floor coverings, tools and machinery, hawo supplies craft businesses directly to construction sites every day, often on the same day that an order is placed. Since 2010, this medium-sized company, which employs around 120 people, has managed its entire value chain using the integrated ERP solution Proalpha.

hawo GmbH had to deliver to many branches and construction sites quickly and reliably every day. Some of the processes were paper-based and manual, which led to time losses and sources of error. A modern solution was needed to increase speed and transparency.
Proalpha was able to map the entire value chain, from purchasing to warehousing and order picking to route planning. The solution also offered mobile applications and an integrated web portal that directly connects field staff and customers. From the outset, the collaboration with Proalpha was based on partnership and continuous improvement.
Delivery speeds have been significantly increased, with orders placed by 7:30 a.m. being delivered on the same day. Mobile order picking saves time and increases process reliability. In addition, paper consumption has been greatly reduced and transparency for customers and employees has been improved.
